From 1980 the CB 125T twin had CDI electronic ignition and larger 26 mm carburettors, with claimed output of around 16.5 hp. The chassis stayed conventional, with 31 mm forks, twin shocks, a front disc and a rear drum. It remained a staple learner bike in Europe.
